El Jem's Amphitheatres

At the end of May I was in Tunisia for a week. There I visited the amphitheatres of El Jem. In the beginning three of those amphitheatres were build in El Jem during the reign of the Roman Empire. Two of them are located somewhat out of town, but what remains of them are only the fundaments. The third and largest amphitheatre is located in the center of town and is preserved the best, although a lot of renovation has taken place. This theatre also served as a film location for the movie 'Gladiator'.
