A moment ago I put a new version of my website online. In this version I did some fixes and added some new stuff. Everything with the purpose of making the maintenance more efficient and making the website more accessable. For example I wanted to make it possible to post the pictures I take with my mobile phone, directly on to my website, without further interference of a manual action.
That succeeded. On the homepage and the theme pages you can see at the bottom a box that contains the 4 latest photos taken with my mobile phone. Every half hour this is refreshed, if there are new photos off course.
Important fixed I made:
- Registering and log in is now possible. It worked, but not good enough. If you now register, you will receive an email containing your registration information. Registered users will also be able to place replies / comments on messages.
- Sending email from the website is now possible. The function 'Send to friend' for example, now works. The function can be found on every photo page. You can inform a friend through email about a photo on this website.
- My maintenance application for the website now also contains a photo watcher. The application responds on events when a photo is placed in the folder being watched. If I place a group of photos in this folder, they will automatically be transfered to my website.
Further more I did a lot of small fixes, which might not all be visible, but they might result in a better user experience.
